CAPTAIN BRENT SKILLINGS
USCG Captain / Founder
Captain Brent Skillings is a seasoned New England fisherman. Certified in 2022 as a U.S Coast Guard Certified Maritime Captain. Brent was born & raised in the coastal town of Scarborough, Maine. Fishing has always been his true passion since childhood & he has gained extensive knowledge and experience over the course of 20+ years while saltwater fishing. Brent is a career airline pilot & Captain for Jetblue Airways based out of Boston, MA. Brent & his wife Elizabeth moved to Portsmouth in 2020 and quickly fell in love with the charm and beauty of this historic seaport and seacoast area. After securing a dock close to downtown Portsmouth and moving up to a more capable boat they made it a priority to establish FirstFlight Charters in 2023. It was their joint mission to share with others the scenic beauty & excellent fishing in and around Portsmouth Harbor, Great Bay & Seacoast, NH. When Brent is not flying he is exclusively on the water making memories for others & friends for a lifetime.

Co-Founder of FirstFlight Charters Elizabeth has played an integral part of the establishment of the business and does the book keeping, communications, social media and makes and confirms all reservations. Elizabeth loves being on the water with her husband Brent, son Scott & black lab Sailor. Elizabeth is a NH native was born and raised in Manchester New Hampshire Area. Elizabeth & Capt. Brent Skillings moved to Portsmouth in 2020 & married in January of 2023. Elizabeth has been 20 years in the dentistry field and dedicates her days off to running the business along with her four legged sidekick Sailor.
